Great Booga Shark

Template:Infobox characterThe Great Booga Shark  (or simply Booga) is a shark, whose species is unknown. Oddly enough, Booga has a collar. He has a fishhook through his fin that doesn't seem to hurt him and his tongue hangs out of his mouth like a dog. He may be a reference to the megalodon - a massive prehistoric shark. Booga is the main antagonist of Shark Tooth Island .

History

The Booga shark is a huge shark in Booga Bay. He seems to be old, because it is said that he:

“	..used to be worshipped long ago and still prowls the waters today.	”

Defeat

The Booga shark is defeated by giving him a potion created by the Medicine Man that makes him sleep for a large period of time. This potion is made with Carbonated Coconut Milk, an Old Bone and the Key Ingredient which is hidden in a ruined temple. (Shark Tooth Island)

Shark Tooth Island

Professor Hammerhead and a boy are trapped on a Castaway Island. After you give Booga the potion, he will fall to sleep, you can see giant green bubbles popping from the water from where he is sleeping, he seems to never wake up. Then, you swim over to the farthest island, where you meet Professor Hammerhead and and the lost boy. They will follow you back to the island, where you will be rewarded.

Toy

If you purchase the Medicine Man poptropica figure, you will get 2 features, 1 of them being where you can throw a fish and The Booga Shark will jump out of nowhere and grab it.

Trivia

• Harold Mews rode it across Booga Bay and survived,as stated on the Mews Foundation Website.
• It may have been based upon the megalodon-a massive extinct species of predatory shark
